The Kochere District is in the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region of Ethiopia  and is a part of the Gedeo Zone just to the south of the famous coffee producing location of Yirgacheffe.

This region is renowned for producing some of the finest coffee’s available anywhere, this coffee is no exception

Tasting: This beautiful example of Ethiopian coffee will not disappoint. Floral, currant and sweet berry with a spicy tropical fruit finish. Perfect when served as espresso, however will be wonderful when brewed in a filter style.

Producer: Grown in semi forested shade on a selection of small farms. Processed at the Kochere Bonde Mill.

Altitude: 1950 – 2050 metres above sea level

Process Method: Fully Washed

Brewing Suggestion – espresso: 

Peak Brewing: 8 – 20 days post roast date

Brewing Ratio: 21g dose – 48 – 50ml extraction yield (1:2.3 – 1:2.4, approx 43% brewing ratio)

Extraction Time: 28 – 30 seconds

Temperature: 91 – 92 degrees Celsius
